[CANCELED] — Ig Nobel Award Tour Show 2020

On Monday March 30, 2020, EPFL should have welcomed for the fifth time the Ig Nobel Award Tour Show, with Marc Abrahams and a line-up of Ig Nobel Prize winners, with the support of the NCCR MARVEL. On the menu this year, pizza, wine and football. A great opportunity to see science from an original point of view, in a show that is both funny and inspiring, and an encouragement for scientists to think outside the box.

  2014 Psychology Prize winner — A new study: "Referee height influences decision making in British football leagues"

  2015 Physiology and Entomology Prize winner — "Carefully arranging for honey bees to sting him repeatedly on 25 different locations on his body, to learn which locations are the least painful, and which are the most painful"

  2018 Biology Prize winner — "Detecting, by smell, the presence of a single fly in a glass of wine"
