Equal opportunity activities for young girls and boys in 2026

MARVEL and EPFL's Science Outreach Department are pleased to announce equal opportunity initiatives targeting girls and boys. Registration for the science workshop Diamants, alu, caoutchouc, ils sont fous ces matériaux (girls 7-10 years old) and for the Coding club des filles in the French part of Switzerland open on 17 November and fill up quickly.

The NCCR MARVEL supports various activities for young girls and boys organized by EPFL's Science Outreach Department at EPFL and all around Switzerland.

In particular:

The science workshop Diamants, alu, caoutchouc, ils sont fous ces matériaux for girls 7-10 years old will take place on 21, 28 January and 4 February 2026 (three Wednesday afternoons, 14:00 - 16:00). Registrations opens on 17 November 2025 at 12:00.
The Coding club des filles offers coding workshops for girls 11 to 15 years old organized all around Switzerland, in French, German and Italian. These workshops are highly successful and new editions are regularly proposed. Registrations for cantons Bern, Fribourg, Geneva, Jura, Neuchâtel, Valais and Vaud open too on 17 November 2025 at 12:00.
