Equal opportunity activities for girls and boys in fall 2026

The NCCR MARVEL has supported throughout the years various activities for young girls and boys organized by EPFL's Science Outreach Department at EPFL and all around Switzerland.

In particular: 

• The science workshop Diamants, alu, caoutchouc, ils sont fous ces matériaux for girls 7-10 years old will take place on 2, 9 and 16 September 2026 (three Wednesday afternoons, 14:00 - 16:00). Registrations are opening on 18 May at 13:00 (under the heading "Septembre à décembre 2026 / Vaud").
  
• The workshops Maths en jeu last 50 minutes and take place after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays during the school year. They propose to discover mathematics from another angle, in the form of games, puzzles and fun surveys. Some are for girls and boys and some for girls only (8 to 14 years old) and they exist in three levels. Registrations are opening on 18 May at 13:00 (under the heading "Septembre à décembre 2026 / Vaud").
  
• The Coding club des filles offers coding workshops for girls 11 to 15 years old organized all around Switzerland, in French, German and Italian. These workshops last 2:30 hours and can be taken separately. They are highly successful and new editions are regularly proposed. Registrations for the fall semester in French are opening on 18 May at 13:00 (for cantons Bern, Fribourg, Geneva, Jura, Neuchâtel, Valais and Vaud).
